Dominoes Effect
Dominoes Effect was conceived by a group of six, 60+ friends who gather monthly for an afternoon of Mexican Train dominoes, accompanied by food, laughter and of course, conversations that move randomly through a myriad of topics including Medicare, health, theatre, electric bikes and how Judie with an "ie" has become the new Karen (of course there is a story there)! Some topics are best reserved for a mature listener group because....well, it's the Dominoes Effect!
After months of creative yet foggy minds molding the Dominoes Effect podcast into it's initial form, the group realized the complexity of recording a podcast while playing live rounds of Mexican Train. Thus, the Dominoes Effect podcast content is created from a variety of sources including conversations from the monthly gathering of friends, world events (yes, politics included) and the life journey of its host and guests. The podcast will bring in guests to share their knowledge and insights - making each episode unique as it evolves live!
You may not become wiser from tuning into the Dominoes Effect podcast, but your life's journey will be fuller, and you will learn to hold each moment before letting it go into the universe!
"If you let yourself be absorbed completely, if you surrender completely to the moments as they pass, you live more richly those moments." - Anne Morrow Lindbergh

As we celebrate the upcoming 250th birthday of our country, Rich and Kim share their insights into the upcoming 250th birthday celebration events which seems to be designed for the wealthy and for those MAGAs who continue to believe this administration is working for them. The United States was born to move forward the rights of the common man and to give everyone who comes to our country an opportunity to build a new life and experience true freedom and an opportunity to flourish. Today that is in jeopardy.
Keep fighting - we need to be warriors for freedom and against oppression. We cannot be silent!
Five Ingredient Baked Salmon Bowl
1 ¼ lb salmon, cut into 4 equal pieces, skin on or off depending on preference
1 large avocado, pitted and sliced thin
1 small English Cucumber sliced thin
½ cup Hidden Valley Green Goddess Ranch Condiment and Dressing plus one teaspoon for marinade
3 to 4 cups white rice
Olive oil, salt and pepper – I also added a teaspoon of garlic juice to marinade.
Cooking instructions
In a medium bowl, toss together the salmon pieces with 2 tablespoons olive oil, one teaspoon of garlic juice, one teaspoon of ranch dressing, salt and pepper (to taste). Let it rest in the marinade for 10 minutes.
Turn oven to 350 degrees and cover the bottom of a cookie sheet with olive oil (lightly).
Add salmon pieces to cookie sheet and bake for 5 minutes, flip the salmon and bake another 5 minutes. The salmon cooks quickly so may take less or more time.
To assemble the bowls, divide rice between four bowls, using about ¾–1 cup for each. Place the salmon pieces on place on top of the rice in one section, as well as ¼ of the sliced avocado. Toss the cucumbers in the Green Goddess ranch and arrange on top of the rice. Drizzle with extra dressing as desired and serve warm.
